1. Who we are

ExpertPub ("ExpertPub", "the platform", "we", "us") is operated by Dharmic Intelligence LLC, which is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Contact us at [email protected], or by post at Dharmic Intelligence LLC, PO Box 296, Kings Mills, OH 45034, United States.

2. Information we collect

• Account information — your name and email address from Google when you sign in, along with your account role, plan, author handle, and account dates.
• Author and membership information — documents and other content Authors upload, generated expert knowledge and prompts, expert settings, publishing records, member email lists, and external payment links Authors choose to provide.
• Questions and conversation context — questions, generated answers, and a bounded number of prior turns kept so an expert can understand follow-up questions.
• Usage and cost records — account email when signed in, expert used, request type, timestamps, answer duration, and provider-reported token measures. These records do not contain a transcript of the question and answer.
• Technical and security information — IP address, request and error logs, browser/device information provided in web requests, security events, and short-lived rate-limit records.
• Cookies and similar technology — our session cookie keeps you signed in and separates one browser's conversation from another. Our hosting and security providers may use strictly necessary cookies or similar technology. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers.
• Billing information — Stripe customer identifier, subscription and payment status, plan, and billing events. Stripe, not ExpertPub, collects and processes card details, billing address, tax information, and payment credentials.
• Inquiries, reports, and correspondence — contact details and requirements submitted through our Services page; reports about experts, including reporter email and explanation; support messages; and our response or moderation record.
• Business outreach information — business contact details obtained from public business websites, directories, and professional records, together with source, qualification, correspondence, delivery, response, and opt-out status.

3. How we use information

We use information to provide and secure the platform: authenticate accounts; create, test, publish, and answer through experts; maintain conversation context; enforce access and plan limits; administer Pro subscriptions; respond to inquiries and support requests; investigate reports and abuse; measure reliability, usage, and provider cost; keep business and legal records; and comply with law.

We use public business contact information for relevant business-to- business outreach and keep suppression records so an opt-out is not contacted again. You can object or opt out by replying to an outreach email or contacting [email protected].

We do not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Services that process information

• Google — account sign-in. We receive your name and email address and never receive your Google password.
• Anthropic — AI generation. Questions, bounded prior conversation turns, expert knowledge, prompts, and relevant Author Content are sent to Anthropic when building, testing, or answering through an expert. Anthropic may retain commercial API inputs and outputs under its own enterprise privacy and retention terms, which may be longer than ExpertPub's 24-hour conversation period.
• Render — application and database hosting, storage, networking, and service logs.
• Cloudflare — domain, network delivery, email routing, abuse prevention, and security. Cloudflare processes request information such as IP address and may use strictly necessary security technology.
• Stripe — ExpertPub Pro checkout, recurring billing, tax calculation, invoices, subscription management, and payment records. We do not receive complete card details.
• Author-selected services — an Author may link to an external checkout for a members-only expert. The Author and that provider process the transaction under their own terms and privacy policies; ExpertPub does not receive those payment details.

These providers process information on our behalf or as independent businesses for the functions described. Their own legal obligations and policies also apply.

5. Who can see information

Published expert information and answers are visible to the people who can access that expert. An expert's Author manages the member email list for that expert. Authors do not receive visitor question transcripts or identifiable platform usage records. Platform administrators can access account, usage, inquiry, billing-status, report, and moderation records when needed to operate, support, secure, or enforce the platform.

The platform does not provide Authors or administrators with a general conversation-transcript viewer. Information may nevertheless be disclosed to providers described above, when you direct us to do so, to investigate abuse or protect rights and safety, in a business transfer, or when reasonably required by law or legal process.

6. Retention

• ExpertPub conversation context expires after 24 hours without activity and is deleted during application startup or conversation access. Starting a new conversation deletes the previous context.
• Raw IP rate-limit buckets are ordinarily purged after approximately two hours. Infrastructure request and security logs follow the applicable provider's operational retention.
• Account, Author Content, expert, and membership records are kept while needed to provide the account and published experts. Authors may delete source documents, unpublish experts, or request account closure, subject to limited backups and retained legal records.
• Usage, billing, tax, security, report, moderation, inquiry, and correspondence records are kept for as long as reasonably needed for metering, support, accounting, fraud prevention, disputes, enforcement, and legal obligations.
• Business outreach records are kept while outreach is relevant; opt-out and suppression information may be retained longer so the person or address is not contacted again.

Deletion from ExpertPub does not control a provider's independent retention. For example, standard commercial AI-provider retention may continue after ExpertPub has deleted its 24-hour conversation copy.

7. Your choices and privacy rights

You may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information or close your account by contacting [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to receive a portable copy, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or appeal a denied privacy request. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where permitted or required for security, billing, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or suppression of unwanted outreach.

Because there is no universally accepted standard for Do Not Track signals, the platform does not currently respond differently to them. We do not track people across third-party websites for advertising. A browser privacy signal does not change our behavior because we do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising.

8. Legal grounds and international processing

Where a law requires a legal basis, we process information as needed to perform our contract with you, comply with legal obligations, and pursue legitimate interests such as securing and improving the service, administering accounts, preventing fraud, responding to requests, and conducting relevant business outreach. We rely on consent where a law specifically requires it.

ExpertPub is operated in the United States. If you use it from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other places where our providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws.

9. Children

The platform is for people aged 18 or older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly permit children to create accounts or intentionally collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact [email protected] so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

10. Security and sensitive information

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including HTTPS, signed-in access to Author Content, and restricted administrative access. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure. Uploaded documents are stored on our hosting provider's infrastructure and are not separately encrypted by ExpertPub at rest.

Do not upload confidential, sensitive, regulated, or private material. In particular, do not upload patient records, client files, credentials, identity records, or other people's personal data. See the Terms of Service.

If you believe there is a security problem, write to [email protected] with enough information for us to investigate.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy by posting a revised version and changing the "last updated" date. Changes apply prospectively. We will provide any additional notice required by applicable law.
